The Kansas City Chiefs remained undefeated with a 31-7 victory in Week 4 over the hapless New York Giants

It’s gone from bad, to worse for the New York Giants, who suffered their fourth straight loss to start the regular season. Tom Coughlin and company kept things interesting in the first half as Kansas City clung to a three-point halftime lead.

New York ended a five-quarter scoring drought when Eli Manning connected with Victor Cruz for a 69-yard touchdown with 13:53 remaining in the opening period. Unfortunately for Big Blue, that would be its last points of the day as the Chiefs would go on to score 24 unanswered and rout the Giants 31-7.

Manning committed three more turnovers; losing two fumbles and tossing an-all advised interception. The G-men were able to force Kansas City into its first three turnovers of the season, but New York couldn’t capitalize on prime field position. A reshuffled offensive line was spotty in front of Manning; allowing six quarterback hits and three sacks.

The Giants achieved a season-high in rushing yards with 98 on 21 carries. Cruz tallied a game-high 164 receiving yards and ten receptions, but Big Blue couldn’t earn that elusive first win of the season.

New York returns MetLife Stadium next Sunday to host the 1-3 Philadelphia Eagles.
