Allen, Giants talking

While the Giants have made it pretty clear they're not all that interested in bringing back linebacker Nick Greisen, whom they've yet to offer a contact, the same cannot be said for cornerback Will Allen.

While no numbers have yet been discussed, a team source told TGI that discussions have been held and that ultimately the team wants Allen back in the fold.

With the uncertain health status of Will Peterson and no depth of any value behind last year's second-round pick Corey Webster, the Giants need to either re-ink Allen or replace him in free agency.

Pittsburgh free agent CB Deshea Townsend has been rumored as a possibility.
