Plaxico Burress returned to practice this afternoon and caught the first two passes thrown by Eli Manning in the initial team period.

Jared Lorenzen caught his own tipped pass and raced up the field. Amani Toomer made a terrific catch of a Manning pass on the right side of the end zone. Joan Tisch, the widow of Bob Tisch and mother of Giants chairman Steve Tisch and treasurer Jonathan Tisch, attended practice...

Jeremy Shockey again missed practice with a mild concussion, but Coughlin said the Pro Bowl tight end swam and did some strength work. "He'll come back," Coughlin said. "It's obviously a difficult thing to go through for the first time, but he's a tough guy and he'll work his way back. We're just going to give him plenty of time."
