New York Governor George E. Pataki visited Giants training camp today and took in the sights of the morning practice.
Quick player news passed along to us by Ken Palmer includes an update on C Dusty Zeigler.
Zeigler explained that pressure points on the knees are different for everyone, which makes individual recovery difficult to guage. He expects to miss a few weeks of the regular season at this point.
OT Jeff Hatch progress has been pushed back, as his appointments for treatment and MRI were pushed back a few days. It will be few more days before the Giants can make a determination on his physical condition, and whether surgery will be necessary.
Rich Seubert did not practice in the morning session because his muscles had stiffed up, but fully expects to practice this afternoon, and is fine.
And on some lighter news, the annual "Rookie Show" will be this evening, after practice. The players leaked the news that one of the spoofs will be on the "Short vs Shockey" cafeteria event.
The skit will feature rookie LB's Quincy Monk playing Brandon Short, with Wes Mallard playing the role of TE Jeremy Shockey.
