Giants make 5 roster moves.

Stackhouse wins the job (AP Bill Haber)

Ken Palmer of the Giant Insider gives us the final five player cuts, which brings the Giants roster to 53.

Topping the list of players cut from the Giants roster today were DE Cedric Scott, and DT Ross Kolodziej.

We were surprised that the Giants gave up on the pair of 2001 draft selections. Scott was a fourth round selection and Kolodziej was taken in round 7.

Charles Stackhouse won the starting job at fullback when they released Darian Barnes.

Although the Giants need depth on the offensive line, they also cut Guards Pat Crummey, and Sean O'Connor.

This brings the roster down to the mandatory 53 players.

The Giants will continue to scan the waiver wire and look for a kicker or another offensive lineman.
