Rookie receiver Tim Carter, who has not played this season because of rib
and back injuries, is practicing, but it's uncertain when he will play.
"He's practicing well and he's getting healthier," Jim Fassel said. "I'd like to
incorporate him into the things we're doing. But as each week goes, it's
harder to crack the lineup."
Kicker Owen Pochman, who is on injured reserve, had surgery today on his
left knee. Pochman had microfracture surgery, the same procedure that Jason
Sehorn and Dusty Zeigler had last January. The operation stimulates proper
bleeding in the knee, where two pieces of bone were rubbing together.
The Giants lead the all-time regular season series against Seattle, 6-3.
The series dates back to 1976. This is the sixth game between the teams in
Giants Stadium, where the Giants own a 4-1 advantage over Seattle. Last
season, the Giants defeated the Seahawks, 27-24, at Giants Stadium.
