Surgery for Pochman

Kicker Owen Pochman, who is on injured reserve, had surgery today on his left knee. Pochman had microfracture surgery, the same procedure that Jason Sehorn and Dusty Zeigler had last January.

Rookie receiver Tim Carter, who has not played this season because of rib and back injuries, is practicing, but it's uncertain when he will play.

"He's practicing well and he's getting healthier," Jim Fassel said. "I'd like to incorporate him into the things we're doing. But as each week goes, it's harder to crack the lineup."
