Here is a look at the all time history between the Giants and Packers.

This will be the 54th meeting between these storied franchises that first met back in 1928, with Green Bay holding a 29-22-2 all-time edge.

That includes a 4-1 advantage in the postseason (all NFL Championship Games between 1938 and 1962), with the Giants’ only victory coming in their first postseason meeting. The Pack have hosted the Giants twice before in NFL Championship games, winning both contests. Overall, the Giants are 8-12 when playing in the ‘frozen tundra’ of Green Bay/Milwaukee.

The last meeting between the two teams was Sept. 16, when the Pack crushed the G-men, 35-13, in New York’s home opener. The Giants actually led going into halftime, and were behind only 14-13 after three quarters, but the wheels came off in the final period.

Facing little pass rush, Brett Favre broke the game open, tossing two TD passes in the final 15 minutes, and RB DeShawn Wynn chipped in a 38-yard TD run to cap the scoring. Eli Manning played decently, as did Derrick Ward, who subbed for an injured Brandon Jacobs, but the Giants offense self-destructed with drive-killing miscues and penalties.

To add injury to insult, Plaxico Burress sustained the sprained ankle that has continued to hamper him all season, and rookie WR Steve Smith was knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury.
