Jeremy Shockey was held out of practice because his foot was sore. Head coach Jim Fassel said that RG Jason Whittle told him that he was "100 percent."

Fassel made it official that he's going to call the plays Sunday. He made the decision Tuesday morning and said that "for now, it's permanent."

Jeremy Shockey was held out of practice because his foot was sore.

Fassel said that RG Jason Whittle told him that he was "100 percent."

Dusty Zeigler, who will go back to the bench when Whittle returns, is questionable due to his troublesome knee.

Keith Hamilton was at Giants Stadium Thursday in good spirits. He said his Achilles' surgery went well and that he feels good.

Kerry Collins on Fassel taking over the play-calling: "I hate that it looks like Sean [Payton] is taking the fall for it. Sean wasn't the reason. I hate that he's being made the scapegoat."

Collins on new starting receiver Ron Dixon: "He brings speed. He can get behind some guys."
