The Giants are scheduled to host veteran safety Sammy Knight on Monday. | |||

New York is looking for a replacement for Gibril Wilson, who took the serious money and ran to Oakland. Knight, who was targeted by Big Blue since before free agency opened, should be more of a bargain. It shouldn’t cost the Giants much more than $1.5 million a year to land Knight, who would probably receive a two-year deal. Knight, who visited Denver yesterday, is an 11-year veteran that played well for Jacksonville last season, posting four interceptions and 93 tackles. The former USC product who boasts 42 career INTs, played his first six seasons with New Orleans, before playing two years apiece in Miami and Kansas City. Former Patriots safety Eugene Wilson is still also reportedly on New York’s radar. |
