Giants signed Herman Moore for the rest of the season. There are no bonuses
or options in the deal. He'll get seven-seventeenths of the NFL veteran
minimum, which will end up being a little more than $300K.
He told his agent (Brad Blank) that he doesn't think he can play this week,
but the Giants are counting on him...probably will be used mostly on third
downs and in red zone.
Giants also signed Derek Dorris, who was impressive in training camp.
The club also worked out WRs Chris Sanders and Tony Simmons, but opted not
to sign them.
To make room for Moore and Dorris on the roster, Giants will place Tim
Carter and Dusty Zeigler on Injured Reserve. Zeigler will undergo
season-ending knee surgery on Friday.
