Fassel has not decided if Dixon will be placed on Injured Reserve.

WR Ron Dixon, under a one-week suspension for conduct detrimental to the team, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee Thursday morning.

"They just cleaned it out," Fassel said. "There was nothing really to fix. They just flushed it out to see if there were any particles."

Fassel said it would be about three weeks before Dixon could play again. The Giants have three games remaining. But Fassel has not decided if Dixon will be placed on Injured Reserve.

"It's a little bit in a limbo stage," Fassel said. "If it was five or six weeks, then I might go ahead. If they told me one week, then I wouldn't. But three weeks is right on the cusp of where the playoffs are."

Wishful thinking, huh?
