Giants Release Plax

Perhaps the Giants grew tired of waiting to learn Plaxico Burress' fate. Or perhaps they were just misleading us all along. The organization stated on more than one occasion during Plax's lengthy legal process that Burress was still a member of the Giants and that the club planned to wait until the legal process took its course. They didn't wait.

On Friday, the team opted to release Burress, who spent the past four seasons in New York, and was one of the most instrumental reasons that the won the Super Bowl after the 2007 season. On Tuesday, Burress' case was adjourned until June 15. The Giants opted not to wait that long.
