Evans Leads FA Class

Moments after the Draft ended the Giants were busy burning up the phone lines in an attempt to fill out their roster.

Along the way, they might just have uncovered at least one hidden gem: Penn State’s Maurice Evans. The athletic and aggressive defensive end would have obviously been better served by returning to Happy Valley for his senior season after a disappointing junior campaign, both on and off the field.

However, Evans gives the Giants defensive coaching staff plenty with which to work. He was among the nation’s best pass rushers as a sophomore, when he posted 12.5 sacks.
