An open letter to Giants fans from Shaun O’Hara...
On behalf of The Shaun O’Hara Foundation, I am honored to invite you to participate in The Foundation’s Inaugural Celebrity Golf Outing, to be held at Liberty National in Jersey City, NJ, on Wednesday, May 20.
The Shaun O’Hara Foundation was founded in 2009 for the purpose of Helping to Increase Knowledge and Education in life-threatening diseases for which there is limited funding.&nbs p;Please join us in our quest to raise awareness as well as funding for the medical research efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening, genetic disease, primarily diagnosed during infancy. Cystic fibrosis is currently the number one genetic killer of children in the U.S., and as of today, there is no cure. Despite this alarming statistic, cystic fibrosis is considered an “orphan disease” by the government (meaning it affects less than 200,000 people) and receives very little federal funding for its research. With that being said, we’re lending the strength of the
New York Giants
and one of the most prestigious golf courses in the world, Liberty National, to fight this disease. We ask that you stand side by side with us on May 20 with your presence and/or financial support.
The Shaun O’Hara Foundation is honored to partner with Liberty National to present you with this unprecedented opportunity to play one of the world's most exclusive golf clubs. Built to rival all20others, Liberty National’s quality of amenities, membership and service stands far above the rest. With the Statue of Liberty proudly standing less than 1,000 yards off the 18th green and the Manhattan skyline just a short ferry ride across the Hudson River, there may not be a more magnificent, more unique and more unforgettable course in America.
Equally memorable will be the star-studded cast of current and former Giants on hand. You’ll receive an opportunity to meet, mingle and even play golf with some of your favorite Giants.
For more information about our golf outing or how you can most effectively support The Shaun O’Hara Foundation, please contact Jim Ruh at 908-612-8100 or jruh@comcast.net. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to help change the lives of those desperately needing assistance to live a longer and better quality life.
Thank you for your consideration, I hope to see you on May 20.
Sincerely, Shaun
