Michael Strahan finally met with the media on Tuesday afternoon. Here are the highlights from his first press conference since returning to the Giants.
On decision to return: “I missed my teammates. I missed the fans. I felt like I wanted to play football.”
On first practice: “Practice was great today. I felt good.”
On how difficult a decision it was: “Very, very. A lot of factors went into it.”
On if he’ll play Sunday night in Dallas: “That’s Coach’s decision.”
On if he held out to miss training camp: “I’ve done two-a-days for 14 years and never had a problem. It wasn’t that.”
On his family’s influence: “My family is definitely concerned. They see me limping around and see all the unglamorous things that most people don’t see.”
On finally winning a Super Bowl ring: “Who doesn’t want one? That’s definitely something I want and hopefully we can get here.”
On if this is going to be his final season: “Who knows? 2007’s just another year in my career.”
On his return: “I’m back to help us win. It’s going to be a great season.”
On his new bearded look: “They all said I looked like Harrison Ford in The Fugitive.”
