Biography:
Antonio Pierce UFA Redskins - He could have been one of the best stories on the team in 2004. Pierce re-signed last year as a restricted free agent and spurned an offer from Minnesota. He was expected to back up new starting middle linebacker Micheal Barrow but he never played in a game due to recurring knee problems. Pierce wound up starting all 16 games and finished with a ton of tackles. In fact, he was one of the main reasons why their defense was so good against the run. The team wants to re-sign him and has exchanged contract proposals with his representatives but Pierce could receive a decent amount of interest in free agency if he’s not re-signed before hand.

College:
At Arizona, played all eleven games at linebacker, recording 77 tackles (10 for a loss of 22 yards), three sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles and one blocked kick as a senior.
