Pro
Physical cornerback who played mainly behind starters Mike McKenzie and
Tyrone Williams in 2001. Had 34 tackles, including 2 sacks, 7 passes
defensed and 10 special teams tackles (third on the club). Saw action in the
'dime' package and on special teams in all 16 regular-season games - the
first time he had played in every game in three pro campaigns.
College
Played four seasons (1995-98) at UCLA after red-shirt 1994 season.
Moved to safety for his senior season after playing wide receiver in 1995 and
'96. Missed first half of the 1997 season due to surgery on both knees
for patella tendon tears suffered in spring practice. Had 26 tackles (22
solo), including 2 sacks and 3 for loss, plus 1 pass defensed and 2 blocked
kicks as a senior. Caught 9 passes in both the '95 and '96 seasons,
totaling 18 receptions for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns as a collegian.
