| At one point in time Nick Eason looked like a dominant prospect as this terrific athlete destroyed opponents from both his defensive end and defensive tackle positions. Injuries began to mount for Eason, slowing his progress and he's never met the expectations placed on him after the 2000 campaign.
College
Eason was named Clemson's defensive MVP for 2000, quite an honor considering he was a member of a defense that featured four first-team All-ACC players. He was named to the American Football Coaches Association Goodworks Team in 2001. Registered 37 tackles last season, with 7 for a loss.
High School
Averaged over 10 tackles per game as a senior...collected 75 tackles, eight sacks, and seven recovered fumbles as a junior...caught 12 passes for three touchdowns his senior season...2A All-State as a tight end and All-Conference as a junior and senior...WTOC First-Team selection...played in the Georgia North/South All-Star game...All-Region team member as a junior and senior...four-year letterman in football and basketball... the 2A Georgia Basketball Player-of-the-Year...also was All-Region on the hardcourt. |
