| Although Kindal has been under the knife a few times, last season he
showed no ill effects of the torn Achilles tendon that kept him out in 2000.
And though he had off-season shoulder surgery, he was able to start
spring practice. He missed the final two weeks of spring work with minor
knee surgery. Kindal was All-SEC last year, an honor he also received in
1999. He was Freshman All-SEC in 1998 when he had a memorable
safety in a win at Auburn. He became a starter early in his freshman year.
He has 111 career tackles including 29 for 146 yards in losses. He also
has 16 sacks for another 153 yards. He has one interception, four caused
four fumbles, one recovery, five broken up passes, and 46 quarterback
pressures.
