Biography:
Peace is considered a first-team player, even though he enters preseason drills bracketed with Kevin Simon and Marvin Mitchell for the starting nod at middle linebacker. 2002 - Peace was first team MLB until he injured his shoulder the last week of spring practice. He lost the job to Keyon Whiteside, who never released his grip on the job. When Whiteside moved outside at midseason, Peace earned five starts at MLB before breaking a foot vs. Miami. Finished the season with 28 solos and 13 assists, including 5.5 tackles for loss, a pass breakup and a sack. His best game was a 15-tackle effort vs. Arkansas. 2001 - Spent the season as chief backup to three-year starter Dominique Stevenson, recording nine tackles, six assists and 15 total stops. 2000 - Played in eight games, despite a concussion that hindered what had promised to be a big freshman season. Recorded just one solo stop and two assists but showed in practice that he’s a player with a bright future.
