Michael McAdoo tears Achilles, has surgery OWINGS MILLS -- Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Michael McAdoo tore his Achilles tendon Thursday during an organized team activity practice and underwent successful surgery Friday to repair the damage. Given the timing and severity of the injury, McAdoo is expected to miss the entire NFL season. McAdoo is a 6-foot-7, 245-pound pass rusher from the University of North Carolina. He declared for the NFL supplemental draft last year following a string of eligibility issues, but went undrafted. The Ravens signed him after the supplemental draft and he spent his rookie season on injured reserve with a knee injury. McAdoo is regarded as a promising prospect and was expected to compete for playing time in the wake of All-Pro outside linebacker Terrell Suggs partially tearing his Achilles tendon during the NFL draft.
