Five New Faces To Watch

DETROIT – The defending Super Bowl champions take the field against the Lions tonight for the first time since that magical early February evening in Arizona. The roster has definitely changed some since they toppled the Pats. Here are five new Giants to watch this evening and all preseason as they attempt to help the champs defend their throne.

Kenny Phillips – We can't hide it. We're as excited to see the number one pick play as anyone. His range and cover ability have been exceptional so far and we can't wait to see him lay his first lick on an opponent.

Danny Clark – He didn't sign with New York to be a backup. Clark has every intention of holding off Gerris Wilkinson and starting at weakside linebacker. Tonight he takes the first step.

Andre' Woodson – He certainly hasn't had the most impressive offseason since being drafted out of Kentucky, but all that really matters is how he performs under he bright lights of game action. We're very anxious to see how he fares against Detroit.

Domenik Hixon – No, he isn't exactly new, being signed late last season. But he sure is a newcomer to the starting lineup in Plaxico Burress' absence. Hixon has been perhaps the most impressive offensive player during camp. Let's see if he can keep it up.

Justin Tuck – Again, Tuck's not exactly a newcomer as he starred last season. But he's replacing Michael Strahan, which is a totally new situation for Tuck. He should be just fine.
